You can dive in deeper with me. In therapy, we will EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and other modalities like CBT (cognitive behavior therapy) with a culturally and trauma informed lens.
EMDR is a type of therapy that helps people deal with negative memories or emotional pain. It works by having the person focus on a memory while moving their eyes using bilateral stimulation (BLS), or sometimes doing other bodily movements to stimulate the right brain. This process helps the brain make sense of the memory, making it less upsetting over time. It’s like helping your mind "reorganize" troubling memories so they don't hurt as much. We call this memory reconsolidation.

CBT is used to process an event where you challenge your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of talk therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are all connected. The basic idea is that the way you think about things can influence how you feel, and how you feel can influence what you do. In CBT, you learn how to recognize negative or unhelpful thoughts and replace them with more realistic or positive ones. This can help you feel better and make better choices.

So, if you had an experience where you are trying to find your authentic self, know that I am here to listen and offer support around experiencing microaggressions. I have worked with women from LatinX, African, Caribbean, African American, the Asian, Pacific Islander, and South Asian backgrounds in California where I am licensed. Most often, I have worked with Generation X and Millennials.
I specialize around supporting people who identify as a being bicultural, BIPOC adults and professionals, and mothers seeking support around life stressors such as relationships, career, life transitions, and parenting. I am a mother of an adolescent daughter and so I get the importance of understanding your communication style, boundaries and self care. My identity as an Indian immigrant and growing up in the SF Bay Area gave me insight on my experiences and perceptions of how people perceived me and how it affected my interaction with society, my community, my family, and myself.

A trauma-informed practice sees you as a whole human, not a diagnosis and works with care, safety, and deep understanding.
It’s a space where your story and your healing are both respected.
Our goal is to help your nervous system feel safe enough to soften. That means honoring your pace, giving you choices, and making sure therapy never feels rushed, pressured, or invalidating.
At Bayside Counseling & Consulting, we help clients reconnect with themselves, their relationships, and their sense of belonging. Our team of culturally responsive, trauma-informed clinicians provides therapy that honors the complexity of your story, your identities, your upbringing, your resilience, and your pain.
Many of our clients are professionals, caregivers, first-generation adults, and individuals who have learned to push through life’s demands while quietly holding emotional burdens. You don’t have to hold them alone anymore.
Our work is grounded in attachment science, trauma-responsive care, EMDR, and culturally attuned therapy, helping you move from survival mode into deeper clarity, connection, and emotional freedom.
What We Believe
Healing can be on your terms and you don’t need to be “more,” “less,” or “fixed” to begin. You only need a place where you feel secure, understood, and supported.
At Bayside, we help you:
✓ Understand recurring patterns and emotional blocks
✓ Break cycles of self-doubt, overwhelm, or disconnection
